Nina Clarkin

• Nina was riding aged two, married to a leading polo player (JP Clarkin) aged 24 and from the age of 27, has been the world’s foremost female player. The only British women player ever to have bettered Clarkin’s 4 goal handicap is Claire Tomlinson who in the late 1980s was a five goal player. Nina inherited her passion for polo from her father, Mark Vestey, a successful 4 goal player. Nina is also credited for the introduction of Ladies Handicaps for the British HPA, where she currently has the highest Hurlingham Women’s Handicap of 10.
